Meet Lindsay

Born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, Lindsay had her first jewelry line with her sister as co-owner in the late ’80s.  She made jewelry from Shrinky Dink and various beads from the local Michaels craft store. With a Lisa Frank trapper keeper holding the valuable merchandise, Lindsay would set up shop and sell to her fellow classmates before school at Rex Reeves Elementary… until the principal shut down the shop.

As an adult, Lindsay studied metalsmithing for two years at Stephan F Austin State University and 2 more at the University of North Texas. After a few years of bridal and custom sales for a local Dallas company, Lindsay moved to Austin, Tx in 2009 to focus exclusively on bench work.

Lindsay became a full-time bench jeweler in 2010. Since then, she has worked for other designers to help create their fine jewelry collections. She has studied advanced stone-setting with some of America’s top stone setters and has proudly achieved various certifications from the Gemological Institute of America.

“I will always source my materials ethically.  Not only do I want you to love your jewelry, but also know that you are making a conscientious purchase.  I want you to be as proud to wear one of my pieces as I am to design and create it.   All of my jewelry is handmade or hand-carved to keep it from being stuffy and cold and I believe in buying things that last. Honesty and transparency are the most important tenets of my business and it’s how I’ve built long-lasting relationships with my clients and vendors.  I like to think with the right piece of jewelry and attitude you can make a potato sack look red carpet ready.”

“Lindsay’s work is stunning! I had old jewelry taking up space in my jewelry box for longer than I’d like to admit and when I took it to Lindsay, we were able to salvage some items. I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted but I knew I wanted a dainty yet catchy necklace. She worked with me throughout the whole process of designing, making sure lengths of chains were right or sizes of stones were just perfect.

Lindsay also design and made my engagement ring. I constantly get compliments on how unique and beautiful it is. I cannot wait to see what we do for a wedding band! Sababa is my go to for jewelry!!”

“I had been hinting to my husband what a great gift a pair of diamond studs would be; he surprised me with a pair of diamond kite cut studs from Sababa Goldsmiths. They are unique, handmade and wearable for everyday…exactly what I wanted. Thank you to Lindsay at Sababa Goldsmith’s for the stunning studs. I put them on the day I received them and haven’t taken the off!”

“Sababa Goldsmiths aka Lindsay is super wonderful to work with and it was an overall great experience. I had been keeping my eye out for some studs and saw a kite pair she made that were so cool and beautiful. I reached out and she contacted the diamond dealer (@misfitdiamonds) for options and prices and we decided on these stunning movals. She kept me in the loop for every step of the process and was amazing at implementing my requests. I could not have asked for better collaboration of ideas and delivery; making my dream studs come to life. Oh and the price for all the work was very fair! I’m thrilled, more than I thought was possible, with the finished product and I definitely will go to her next time I need a jewelery dream come true.

Beautiful custom pieces, great price, easy and fun collaboration, having jewelery you will love forever…what more could you ask for!?”
